Rocky Point Park
In conjunction with Pare Corporation Engineers and the State of Rhode Island’s Department of Environmental Management, this shelter is situated at the end of a new fishing pier that juts out over Narragansett Bay. The goal was to create a shelter that could withstand the challenges of not only attachment to a pier, but also be surrounded by the ocean. The hot-dipped galvanized frame is the perfect finish for the salty ocean air and sea spray that would otherwise create damage to a standard powder coated steel finish.
This shelter provides a shaded space away from the elements and is a working lighthouse thanks to the lighted, oversized cupola.
