Charles River School

This new Landscape Structures playground, shown here, was part of a massive redesign of the Charles River School central outdoor space.  The redesign includes two new playground spaces and a large Cedar Forest Products 32′ x 52′ Open Truss Timber Pavilion for outdoor seating.

This playground is intended for children ages 5 to 12.  Both the Hillscape Climbers, which mimic a rolling landscape, and the Ribbon Boardwalk Climber utilize recycled plastic lumber planking. These climbers offer opportunities for building balance, agility, motor planning, and core body strength.

A major benefit to recycled plastic lumber is that, while it looks like wood, it lasts longer.  Created from 100% recycled high-density, UV-stabilized polyethylene material, you can feel good about its post-consumer benefits.
